For context, standard leave in NZ: 20 paid days a year holiday, can usually roll over to next year 10 paid sick days per year. What he's describing is what I'd call a minimum for work life balance. Hell, I'm salaried and public sector, my area gets 45 paid days off per year at least in part to offset how we are paid lower than private sector
