That’s weird, you’d think if anyone would feel used to doing things backwards it’s Ringo Starr.

Here's the problem with the modern world, most people are unaware that "professional shitstirrer" has been a valid occupation for all time. I'm not going to concern myself with Roger Waters' senile ravings for too long. But how's the guitar tone on In The Flesh?

I remember dropping $30 on the two-CD set of The Wall. I'm gonna guess 1988. Just like how I got into Van Halen rear end-backwards through 5150 (first record with Sammy Hagar) back to all the previous albums with David Lee Roth, same thing with Pink Floyd. My first PF album was Momentary Lapse of Reason, and I went back to Dark Side of The Moon, Animals, Wish You Were Here, until it got too out there for my young tastes.

I fell in love with The Wall until one day I realized how loving absurd it really is. Roger Waters' angst over his over-protective mother, and his daddy dying in the great war, all summed up in a huge opera about how heartless the music industry is and how pathetic the fans are, from the perspective of one of the most successful products it ever made. The sheer insanity of that framing of such looming traumas in his life, it kinda made it all seem really hollow, or shallow, or something even more gross or pathetic. But I managed to prevent myself from turning on it:
That's about how far I was able to think about it before I realized it was about the music, the melodies, the next-level use of themes and variations, musique concrete. And the guitars! The wonderful contrasts between different types of guitar sounds, and how inspiring they were in the context of the greater whole, what all these guys brought together as a band. I flirted with waving away the whole thing because of Roger Waters' stupid music poo poo, and decided nevermind the album's success, or the fans, or the whole culture it spawned. The thing is what it is and some of it is profoundly myopic navel-gazing. But it's still historic, a watermark, an event and a massive achievement.

But as Stupid Music poo poo, it fits!

I think that's some sort of Kiss/Ace Frehley signature? I'm pretty sure I've seen that same guitar in a local shop but not a bootleg version, I think the price was around $3,500?

I've always been intrigued by the Roland Bee Gee fuzz, apparently it's pretty good, but since it came out in the mid 70s, how do you go naming it the same as one of the most famous bands of the time, who are very much not known for fuzz guitar? Would be like coming out with a hyper distortion in the mid 90s called "the Backstreet Boy".

Instead of buying a better strap why don't you slide this thing onto your guitar, making the upper horn look like it has an infection.

How effective is this?

quote:

Will the AxeEze™ cap fall off while I'm playing?

Not if the AxeEze™ cap has been properly fitted to your guitar. The cap should slide firmly onto the guitar’s horn, without being able to rotate or “wiggle.” You must reseat the cap often when performing. This is accomplished simply with a twisting and pulling motion towards the guitar body.

Constantly needs to be readjusted while playing, how convenient.
