the red line is when they announced they were locking down the client, a very vocal set of players dropped out but the player count quickly stabilized

vrchat still supports all sorts of user generated content, they just cracked down on client hacking, so it's still way more flexible than whatever bland sanitized version facebook is working on

No, it's still fully centered on content creation, you just can't modify the client. There were some legit uses for doing so such as adding accessibility features, which they did in fairness scramble to add in, and less legit uses like subverting the subscription, which being the only source of revenue they get from users was obviously going to be cracked down on at some point.

My understanding of the Meta concept of "the metaverse" is that it's basically the internet but in 3d and zuck gets a cut of any money that goes through it. That's it.

edit: That is to say, Meta the company doesn't want to be responsible for making your homepage or your avatar or whatever, they just want you to pay them for it.

Eh, I've seen way better areas in 2009-ish SL on my old potato laptop. Also much worse, but that's how it goes with user created content.

Today there is no exit from this hellscape we call reality. Governments today are magnitudes more powerful than ever before; and hold at their fingertips the very real power to destroy all biological life if they choose it to be so. This is only possible with fiat money.

Only in this context can we start to understand that Bitcoin is not just the saving power by which we can liberate humanity from the barbarism of fiat; but it is the only hope we have in regaining control over our economies that have been mutilated for infinite war.

This is just one of many facets of Bitcoin that makes it the most radical technology in existence today, and quite possible messianic in the total context of humanity.

It has the possibility of ending the financialization of state war through ending fiat money directly.
