I continue to be amazed at the people who openly hate the MCU, then insist on sitting through everything put out, and come here to gripe about hating the 34th property in a series that know they hated the previous 33 installments.

Sometimes Pitch Meeting is nit-picky (though much funnier than Cinema Sins or Honest Movie Trailers, can't stomach those) but in this case it looks like he was dead on about glaring plot holes or inexplicably dropped things in the movie. I love his videos so much, it's to the point now where I try to figure out what he's going to say while I'm watching the actual movie.

Arguably soy, based, cringe, etc have escaped 4chan containment and become a broader part of the terminally online lexicon whether or not you're an alt-right fascist I haven't seen She-Hulk but I assume what he's describing is the kind of constant eye-rolling Whedonisms and undercutting any kind of tension or drama with "so THAT just happened" moments that has slowly come to define every single MCU property to the point of exhaustion Arguably not a valid criticism for what is supposed to be a full-on comedy instead of an action movie where people make jokes, but then again people called Dr. Strange 2 a 'horror film' and it was tonally completely indistinguishable from a dozen other MCU movies and TV shows I've seen so Wolfsheim fucked around with this message at 18:07 on Aug 21, 2022 |

FINALLY got around to watching Season 4 of Stranger Things. Jesus, with me having work and kids and the Duffer Brothers having no ability to cut anything, it took like 2 weeks to get through the last episode. Overall enjoyable but it didn’t have to be *that* long and the separation into 3 groups was really not fun. I hope Season 5 is very much everyone in one group in Hawkins.

Halloween Jack posted:"Quippy" isn't quite on the money because the root problem isn't that characters are constantly quipping. It's that they act like they're watching the movie and giving it the RiffTrax treatment, immediately signaling to the audience that none of this matters and you'd be stupid to get invested in it. Yeah there's something very off about She-Hulk. This should have been a slam dunk to me but I didn't like it. I freely admit the Ruth Bader Ginsburg bobblehead and the lawyer girlboss poo poo put me off my oats but there's something very hollow about it at its core.
