No pictures because this happened years ago, but one time I heard a young cat meowing outside my apartment door. I went out and the cat didn't want to come in, but kept meowing for my attention. Didn't really want to be pet. A bit of back and forth before the cat lead me to a particular door. I knocked, and when the guy opened it I asked if he had a cat and he said "yes" as the cat zipped inside. He had no idea that his cat had gotten out, and all the cat wanted me to do was knock on its door so it could get inside. Cats can be incredibly clever when you're least expecting it.

I greet every cat I see outside and it never fails to scare the poo poo out of me when they come on over. Like, "Oh no, kitty! Don't be so trusting!" Still, I've acquired at least two cats by making friends with strays.

I had someone on my daily walk in the park warn me to keep my pup on a leash because there were some "pitbulls" acting very badly just down the way. I said something like "well, it's generally more the owner than the breed" and they agreed and smiled and went on their way. I stroll along and see what I was warned about. It was a black family walking some lab mix. Worst part is now that awful woman thinks I was agreeing with her loving racism. All dogs are cool, just gotta socialize em and keep em on a leash!
