You don't even need an excuse. That should be projected on a huge screen outside Moby's house 24/7.

I don't understand but I've also heard much worse
This is just making me realize that space ghost coat to coast is a lot older than I thought...and I was also up much later at a much younger age than I thought

I'm also remembering the first time I saw an episode of the actual Space Ghost show on cartoon network and being SO CONFUSED

The fact that they made a whole courtroom “drama”-style comedy with Hanna Barbera characters was amazing. Secret Squirrel being ordered to court for indecent exposure was great. Shaggy and Scooby-Doo getting busted for possession.

Haha, you just unlocked a memory I had of my dad and I calling Art Bell's Coast to Coast AM radio show in the late 90s or early 2000s. When we got on live during an open lines night, we just froze up and said something really stupid about bigfoot. We also both kept calling him his full name of "Art Bell" every time we said something to him. It was awkward as hell.

Our recording still lives on as it's all archived on the website. It was when I had a subscription to it 12 years ago or so and somehow managed to find it, anyway.

loving' awesome!

I'd have frozen, too.

Guilty pleasure when Art was still on.

Coast to Coast is what my grand uncle played on the delivery truck radio in the morning, while training me in the business. What better way to start your day of dealing with ridiculous assholes than listening to absolute absurdity.

We heard the Fallout (the game) call when it happened. That started a whole day of explaining Fallout to the old man.

I feel like it used to air on cartoon network proper in a time before adult swim. But this memory is from a 2nd grade friend's house and that was a long rear end time ago

It did. Space Ghost started in 1994 and was being rerun at nights for a while. Adult Swim didn’t start until 2001, and even then Adult Swim was only Saturday nights/early AM on Sundays for its first few years.

Cartoon Network trying to figure out what to do with it's late night prior to [adult swim] lead to some really interesting stuff, as did their access to the weirdest parts of the Hanna-Barbera/Turner vault. Toonami Midnight Run, Space Ghost, Toonheads, and whatever the gently caress this was:

I kinda wish Cartoon Network had a 300 hour or so block of its old programming hidden somewhere on the web, when it had very little original programming, and virtually no anime. It was like this flea market of random and often terrible cartoons.

I love The Big Snit more than words can say.
