My initial reaction is having family members on the roster makes decisions awkward but I guess it worked out for the Bucks with the Antetokounmpos, and avoiding adding brothers meant the Packers passed on Amon-Ra, so full speed ahead on Nephi I guess.

So many veteran safeties are getting released, but for now that USFL safety Micah Abernathy made the Packers roster is incredible. After being a undrafted NFL camp body for a few years I believe, he started as a safety for the USFL last spring but didn�t even get a camp invite this fall. Packers had a rash of camp injuries at safety so they brought him in right before a preseason game just as a body. And he played great despite being thrown in the fire. Continued to perform in the rest of the camp and made the initial roster.

I'm concerned about safety this season. Amos is solid but Savage has been inconsistent and there's virtually no depth. Abernathy had a nice preseason but there's a reason he was an USFL player.

At least every other position group on defense looks great *knock on wood*.
