i agree this episode really isn't a good one to dip in on. unless you know the back catalogue and in particular episode 8, where we briefly poo poo on this guy, and even if you do, there's not a ton to be gained from it. it's more just funny in the meta sense and an explanation of one of the main reasons why we've been quiet for so many months.

alab is great sometime 5-4 is a little too… lib. but I guess if you’re discussing the law and legal system as it exists, and engaging with it, it’s hard not to sound a little lib

Futanari Damacy posted:What's the best intro ep to ALAB or should I just listen to this just don’t listen to this new one or the middle of any of the multipart ones first, with the exception of episode 8 because I think the other earlier numbered ones have some context you might miss, but are otherwise only sort of connected. edit: I think episode 8 into the new one would be a really entertaining intro to the show. I really like the Vig Mignona or whoever episodes too though. TheMightyBoops has issued a correction as of 20:34 on Sep 2, 2022 |

lol is the new ALAB part of a settlement agreement? Y'all got shut down for nearly a year by the guy who was quoting Justified in court filings he used to harass his ex-wife and then had to settle with him by giving him the mic on your podcast?

I was Re listening to ALAB and in episode 3 all haters of the podcast are referred to as pedophiles by one Tarik. I will assist any listeners who were defamed by establishing a class action lawsuit where you get to go on ALAB and they must be nice to you for no fewer than 1 episodes for each defamed listener. I’m not a lawyer but I have listened to no fewer than 20 episodes of a legal podcast that I will not name here. Edit: Sorry it is episode 2, I won’t make any more mistakes in your representation.

This guy seems to have a legal strategy of "Throw all the claims in the big pot against the wall and see what sticks" and while it seems to have served him well in owning his ex-wife in family court and settling petty grievances with podcasters, I would be interested to see how well it works for him if he ever stumbles into big boy court. Also, drat you ALAB for depriving us of seeing you argue against "Kill Shot" Cass

Oh christ, this dude teaches at UCLA business school.quote:Weinhaus’ corporate innovation work revolves around assisting corporations in ensuring their best ideas don’t “die on the vine” based on a failure to communicate a successful plan. He employs his proprietary, unified pitch framework — including the “Barbed Spear,” QCOAT’ing, VSS and the Iron Laws — and incorporates the preparatory analysis of Steven Kaplan’s OUTSIDE-IMPACTS approach. The last thing you want in a business class is someone teaching their own "proprietary" frameworks. Professors like that are usually like "Buy all my books for $200 each and learn some poo poo that no one else in the world is going to know or care about".

Telling everyone in the meeting we should look at the problem through the prism of the Iron Laws and getting laughed out of the room and then everyone just does a SWOT analysis like normal people.

Costs a ton of money and sometimes an early settlement just makes way more sense
