fun fact: you can't label a port or cable "usb-c" unless the product is compliance tested and certified thru USB-IF. however compliance testing is not required just because your product has a usb c port on it, just if you want to use the wordmark or one of the myriad logos. the original trident USB logo isn't controlled by USB-IF tho so you can pop that bad boy anywhere you want, no worries
