As a fan of classic cyberpunk novels and their staple tropes: billionaires are fundamentally broken people and should be eradicated for the good of humanity. They (billionaires) cannot understand what it means to be a normal middle-to-lower-to-poverty class human, and because of this they are unable to empathize at all. If they can pretend to empathize, it's because they want clout or some ulterior motive. Too-big-to-fail corporations at the same, and should be eradicated. The trickle of info we got out of the Epstein scandal confirms these ideas. If things continue on in the same way they are now, I think within a decade or less we'll see the first modern-day trillionaire, especially once one of those monsters realizes how it could be within their grasp if they crack their whip hard enough. After that glass ceiling is shattered, we might see a race from other mentally ill money-havers who will do anything they can to gain that much wealth, or at least a simulation of it through power. Also, to the goons that mention the billionaire cult, considering that rich idiots got sucked in HARD to Nexium and Scientology, I don't doubt it for one second and would please like some links to good YouTubes about these trashy people believing in an ego-pandering religion.

It’s another form of consumerism, too. Maybe the ultimate form. Once you’re past the level of spending money on material goods, there’s not much left to spend it on besides perceived status. Whether you’re actually doing any good, whether you can even tell whether or not you’re doing any good, is secondary. I actually don’t think most of these people have a consistent or coherent ideology, especially if they’re deep into crypto. The libertarian stuff like von Mises that drove Ron Paul kept referring to the “socialist calculation problem” and the collapse of the Soviet Union as critiques of concentration of power. Why doesn’t that critique apply equally to monopoly corporations, and a tiny minority of technocrat billionaires directing charitable giving? Oddly, they’re all typically silent on this point.

the really "cool" thing about charitable donations if you're in software is you can just make a school charity in africa by paying a local some money and getting them an office somewhere, and then donate just million copies of your expensive software to them. it doesn't matter if no-one ends up using it because the tax man doesn't care how effective your donations are, it didn't cost you any actual money to just generate licence keys, and yet you can claim that you donated $50 (or however much you want to say it costs) * 1,000,000 to a charity. its just printing your own tax refunds

Or he could freeze his body, his head, or his penis until such time as technology can rebuild him into an immortal human, he'll probably go that route like some utterly narcissistic "richer than God" humans do. Should he become immortal in some way, I could see him ruling over planets and controlling vast amounts of resources for his own gain, while also being bloated and so heavy he floats around suspended because his legs and joints can't support his tonnage – like Baron Harkonnen in Dune, a fictional story.
