It's at least a dozen miles inland. True that it's typically less hot than any given place in, say, the Inland Empire, but sustained temps in the 90s and above is abnormally warm, although maybe that's normal now.

China just got so baked 66 dams are on dry rivers, Pakistan got flooded to gently caress, Ukraine and Russia are still fighting over like half their breadbasket, and the midwest has been getting flooded repeatedly too.

Should we be like... Anticipating global-scale famines?
