not that i take any offense by it, and i don't mean any offense with my rebuttal... but if mathspazcore is like a movie with too many jump cuts, then fit for an autopsy and thy art is murder etc is like taken 2 and 3 with liam neeson. run of the mill generic movie your dad gets out of a redbox bc he doesn't know how to setup netflix or whatever lol.

Yeah I'm with shooga on this one. Converge, Dillinger and botch fuckin own. There's a lot of lovely knockoffs but those are all fantastic bands, to each his/her own and all that though.

I used to be all for WACKY MONKEYCHEESE Mr. Bungle-core but it's mostly just grating now. It's kinda put a damper on, like, half of BTBAM's discography that I used to love unreservedly. Daoboys and spazzy mathcore in general don't really trigger that reaction for me though

i don't personally feel like converge and dillinger have a big crossover. their venn diagram in this instance would have a rather tight oval. like the only crossover would probably be stuff like dead as history or black bubblegum type stuff

Personally, I've really enjoyed all three of the tracks from Varials. I know a lot of people don't like the new Travis-less sound, but it works for me. The old stuff's still there for my listening pleasure, so  Also, godfuckingdammit, this is the second time I've seen "Within Destruction" and thought, "oh, rad, new Within The Ruins". Not that WD is bad (I like 'em well enough) or WTR is better. Mostly just annoyed at my own inability to read gud

cycle of violence is an absolute banger. one of the best varials songs to date. i'm totally on board with the new vocalist. and within the ruins hasn't dropped anything in years. bummer they haven't released anything GOOD in even longer than that

Does anyone have any recommendations for strong punk/metal essay/review youtube channels. My feed keeps getting The Punk Rock MBA recommendations and Id like alternatives especially as after sampling only a few videos its apparent that Finn Mckenty is a garbage human.
