I also don’t love weapon swapping so the profession with “weapon swapping extra” as their mechanic just isn’t for me. They have rad animations though. It can be a bit piano at times, but the flipside is the utility skills (even elites) have extremely short cooldowns so it ends up being a different flavor of playstyle - more restrictions on skill/weaponskill usage but very high impact buttons.

It might be they are trained on images/art produced by people who went to art school - so the output is loaded to be good in at least the engine I'm using. People who know more about these things can probably comment better than me. I am just happy going 'ooh' at the pretty colours it makes.

You can hook up gw2efficiency.com to search your account (bank and all character inventories). If you redeemed the license it should still be in your inventory somewhere.

Because Anet loads in the gem store stuff for one major patch cycle at the start, and then generally does not add more until the next one: so Tuesday is when they will be adding more sales data to be mined.

Beat Heart of Thorns, I think I'm definitely going to go back and play Season 2. I was actually invested in the story unlike the personal story stuff. So glad they dumped the 'load a cinematic anytime someone talks' gimmick

No way to skip forward but in the later missions they added checkpoints so you don't have to start from scratch. For what's it's worth I had the same issue with disconnecting and it seemed to get a bit better after I forwarded some ports. Could look into that too.

Don't know if they did it that way in LWS 2 already, but doing HoT story achievements last week, I found a lot of missions you can speed up by knowing the triggers. There are a few where you actually need to stay close to NPCs being escorted, others you just hammer the use key on the NPC to talk to and as soon as they start talking run to the next waypoint to trigger enemy spawns or the next part of the mission script. Verdant Brink missions are the worst in that regard, as you have slow moving NPC to escort the most.

Many would have thought/wished ANet tackled that before Steam release, but they instead spent their resources on a half-hearted attempt to improve the new player experience. It's unclear if and when they will ever do something about LFG, especially with WvW and PvP subcommunities having been on life support for so long and the current state of class balance being utterly dominated by Mechanist and Firebrand.

Ok now I'm pissed. Every time I get to the end of the Victory or Death mission where you fight the mouth thing I win, get stuck on a cinematic that doesn't seem to happen, and get loving disconnected so that I have to start the whole drat thing over. e: my connection is fine this is just some lovely bug that is wasting all of my time

Edit: If you have a reward track that you really want the WvW dailies are useful the chests you get for each one sometimes (possibly always) have reward track potions in them. Handy for getting those done if you have one you're keen to get finished. Also I know GW3 is unlikely any time soon but it'd be nice if there was a way to get a look at some of the maps after we've 'saved' them. Orr for example would be an amazing historical ruin to explore once free of zombies but since all the maps are stuck in the time loop we never get to see. Here a MidJourney version of some Orr style ruins I managed to conjure.

So I’ve kind of wanted to get back into this. I played a lot when it first came out. Lost interest after about a year. Skipped Heart of Thorns. Came back to the game for Path of Fire launch and took a week off to play it and rushed and got the griffon in like 2 days of poop socking. And quickly burned myself on it again. I lasted maybe a month. So that was … drat.. almost 5 years ago now? Anyway. I loaded up the game just to figure out what the gently caress I’ve got. I’m sitting on like 8 level 80s with gear all over the place and a poo poo load of items and crafting materials in my inventory I don’t even remember what they are for. And I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed by it all. I have a ton of level character to 80 tomes I could use and "start fresh" but I really don’t want to have to unlock all these waypoints again. Really wish there was a class change gem store item I could use.
