That's... the end of the current Solver story? I can't help but feel that Charlotte Grote stories ended when Bad Machinery did, and they were a lot of great stories but maybe Allison is stringing his favorite along too much. There were a lot of Shelly Winters stories too but she eventually moved on to supporting cast and it seems that was for the better.

Steeple is great, it's not like his stuff is ever horrible. The ideas just seem to be stretching thin other than the completely new set of characters and unique premise that is currently his strongest ongoing.

This Nancy hypnosis arc is strange, like the comic was getting stale so the protagonist gets a superpower. Next Sluggo will be able to turn into living rock and Aunt Fritzi becomes mistress of magnetism.

Huh, I guess Aleta's been corresponding with her people back home after all. The circumstances of her departure were rather abrupt (and more than a little alarming), and she's been gone for years. I kind of assumed they'd pronounced her dead and given the crown to whoever her successor is.

Funky Winkerbean is still on the top floor of this stack because hoo boy...

So let me get this straight. BoyLisa and Jess, without calling ahead, are showing up on the doorstep of a total stranger, one who they've been told might have issues. And somehow he's supposed to be the sinister one today. C'mon Tom, maybe he thinks they're Jehovah's Witnesses.

On the other hand, Crankshaft balances the scale by giving us a traditionally creepy Mason face.

But enough of that, welcome to "Lazarus Risen" day in Mutts!

And so... our latest adventure draws to a close! And what an adventure! Because the next story is... well, I would say it is the last story in the main adventure... with the remaining books being almost epilogues? You'll see what I mean. Join me next time, won't you? In... At the Road's End.
