I have not seen the wikipedia video but most of JJs videos that I watch seem fun and fairly educational? Like he did vids where he worked with his global subscribers to find all the alternate generation ideas (people in Russia refer to Yeltsin generation or Gorbachev generation instead of boomers and millennials or whatever) or Canadian trivia and stuff? What are his crimes

Yeah I always found him inoffensive and occasionally mildly interesting, but I went long enough without clicking one of his videos because only pop culture ones were coming up and the algorithm expunged him from my universe

He's a Canadian conservative, so still more liberal than our crazies, but he did seem like he was trending further rightward for a while. I'll admit it's been a long time and I don't remember any specific takes of his so this is more "memory vibes" than hard fact. I vaguely remember him whining about how conservatives get treated, so he may have jumped into the apolitical sphere to get away from that kind of stuff

I know I've seen plenty of people I follow on Twitter criticize him for getting stuff wrong about Canada, particularly because he writes about Canada for an American publication and audience. Can't remember the specifics though so there's no point hating the guy if I don't know why.
