Za'Darius Smith had such a good game. The hit on AJ Dillon on the strip-sack in the 3rd quarter was nasty but it looked like it might also have blown the whole play up, if Dillon was supposed to run out as a safety valve on the play.

Lions starting and presumptive backup RGs are now both on IR, both with back injuries. 3rd stringer played ok, but rest of the O-line is injured outside of Sewell. If this keeps up the Lions could have a worse record than last year!

On the Lions Athletic podcast. Baumgartner said that guys like Decker, Ragnow and even jonah will get limited or no practice days to help them keep fresh. Lineman are always banged up, but it sounds like all those guys will play. Same with Swift. He said his ankle is no issue and he's good to go.

Vaitai is legit done, Kraemer sounds concerning and Stenberg was pretty bad, don't know if PFF's grade of 0.0 in pass pro is fair, but he wasn't good. They also signed some guard off the Eagles practice squad, and redid Brocker's contract to get another 2.5 million on the cap for this year, so something is brewing.

I remember watching that game at a friend's house in Rockford. I remember Favre saying it was the worst wind he's played in, and the next day when I went to work (at my boss's house), pieces of siding from his house and his neighbor's house had blown off and landed in his backyard.

The cap relief is basically just to cover all the ir guys and call ups from the PS at this point I think. No practice days are fine, but they finally seem injured, so it's not great.

Is it? You could be right. I knew they had 2.5 million in space before the Brockers thing. They signed Justin Jackson to the roster, wasn't sure what else they did.

Partially, due to having so much money tied up in the IR and PUP I think they're close to the cap. Only 4.5 mil in space I think and it might get worse if any of these injured guys need to go on IR. They also don't really have many other restructures they can do going forward. Quinn left this roster in bad shape in every possible way!

Yeah I don't really want them to restructure Goff or Vaitai (he might be a cut next year). So they'll just have to gut through it.

Why, hello, my little slice of pecan pie.

I remember this excerpt, definitely a direct quote.

“We weren’t really able to establish a consistent passing game in the face of the Vikings defense and the global military-industrial complex, so credit to both of those entities for bringing the pressure. We just have to focus on what we control, which is basically nothing in light of the massive hegemonic system that is ultimately judge, jury, and executioner to us all, and get those wrinkles ironed out before week two. Do I expect us to execute the passing game to be better this Sunday? Yes. Do I think our defense has been infiltrated by lizard people who are in thrall to the deep state and potential double agents of the Chicago Bears? Also yes. But ultimately you’ve just got to take it one game at a time.” -Aaron Rodgers
