there are many good eye lubes out there now including a new generation that don’t have preservatives (because preservatives are bad for eyeballs) because of newer bottle technology

none of them should require prescription

unless the problem requires more then just eye lube

no one is super sure what the problem is but it seems like I am probably sleeping with one eye open or grinding my eye into my pillow in my sleep

I have the good eye lube but it doesnt really help. Sometimes i'll use what amounts to vaseline for your eyes but i feel like its not a good long term solution.

the eye lubricant ointment you perhaps put in at night time is actually a great long term solution, except you have to keep doing it and makes vision blurry. but extremely safe and non irritating etc

at least over here visine is a range of products, some have actives like xylometazoline while others don’t have actives. just curious if you know which one it is

my wife had perfect vision up until around ten years ago when she basically started getting farsighted and nearsighted simultaneously, which just got so bad that she basically had to chooses which pair of glasses to wear at any given time and just resign herself to not being able to see the poo poo that was outside that range

but then last year she got lens replacement surgery and her vision is back to being perfect, it was expensive but it was money very well spent

yeah obviously that's a pretty extreme example and i hope i don't have to hear a repeat, but what i took from it is that it's definitely not normal and something that should get checked out asap
