Babylon's fall's loadout system did seem kinda cool to me though You equip 4 different floating weapons behind your back and they each affect a different part of your moveset, doing different moves depending on the weapon type and selected style So you can swing the sword in slot 1 with one hand while the spooky ghost arms in the coffin on your back add followup attacks with your bow or hammer in slot 3, or you can get a totally different moveset by putting the bow in slot 1 and the sword in slot 3. That probably would've got me to buy it if it weren't for all the GaaS stuff. Although I dunno how good the combat ended up being in the end or whether it was just a button masher where the moveset stuff didn't matter.

This didn't happen to my fiancee and we specifically played together, no solo stuff outside of messing around with events. On top of all of that, once the launcher completed and would let me play the game, there was a decent chance the game would freeze up and tell me it failed to connect or lost connection before reaching the character select screen. It'd close out of itself and I'd have to wait through the entire launcher again. I was having fun playing this weird mmorpg with KCB but unfortunately I just can't continue with it while my pc is so crummy. I want to upgrade it but there's no telling when I'll actually be able to do that because a new pc isn't exactly high on the priority list.

Smt5: So good. Best combat of any jrpg? Certainly my favourite rpg combat, maybe tied with divinity original 2. The power energy limit break bar thing is a great addition, fights are really dynamic now I’ve completed the second major area now, and compared to the only other mainline smt game I’ve played (nocturne) the story feels a little unremarkable. Like the cosmology is still bonkers but the actual events so far are kinda plain Speaking of which I think I skimmed some dialogue too quickly because there’s an important detail about the game’s world state that I don’t quite get: The hellscapes you visit are the real Tokyo? An apocalypse happened and an intact version Tokyo was put in some kind of pocket dimension, and I guess the inhabitants were whisked away as well? But it still can communicate with the outside world (it’s mentioned that your shadowy organization is part of a grander network)? What happens if an Intact Tokyo resident has a business conference to go to in São Paulo?

I wasn't completely sold on the figures aesthetic until they showed off the painting mode, and that made it all snap into place. Looks like it could be a pretty cool game.
