I like a lot of the changes they've done. Barbatos no longer feels like the god lord of every match it's in, and I've clowned on it as almost every unit I've played as at least once. Including a fun time when barbatos stunned me as asshimar but didn't manage to kill me long enough that I threw the fire down and killed us both. I still hate the sniper though, there's nothing less fun in a shooter than just being picked off by a guy you couldn't see across the map because you stepped out of spawn or something. Anyway, I'm pretty bummed about how they seem to be handling the EVO Coins and general rewards right now? Like, the coins in general I couldn't give less of a poo poo about; but the fact that we don't seem to actually earn any in-game, even slowly, is a bummer especially when combined with the fact that we don't seem to earn any capital either outside of the battle pass and beginner missions. It just feels really poo poo, especially after the network test felt really fun and rewarding to play. Also apparently EVO Coins only last 120 days which just seems like a really weird and pressuring choice in general. Also I might be crazy but it feels like the afk timer is on some bullshit. It constantly popped up during the tutorial for me while I was listening to the dialogue, and I wound up getting kicked from a match while waiting for it to let us out of spawn. On the subject of things that don't really matter; it feels kind of good to care absolutely nothing about the premium cosmetic skins right now. I was interested in a few of them when I saw the images, but looking at them in-game I really don't like how the glowing effects flicker on and off or fade in and out. I would 100% be all in on the neon unicorn if it was always on, but the animation kills it for me. As it stands I actually like a lot of the rare and normal recolours. I really hope I get the doom skin for Marasai.

I only played one match because it launched so late, but on defense everyone on my team sat in spawn and just jetted around and shot at each other. I tried to defend, but of course got shot to poo poo 1 v many and then resigned to just hang out by spawn too. Completely wordless coordination of everyone to just stop playing as far as I can tell. Everyone decided to give up? They were all on a team and coordinated that without telling me? Some kind of weird meta to end matches and farm xp faster?

Played two games with one win and one loss. Echoing what others have said, but the maps seem to be a mixed bag in quality so far and feel just a bit too cramped at times. I've only tried the Zaku and the Pale Rider because I love playing support and I had a blast. Both games had teams that traded back and forth well during engagements so I think I just got lucky with rolling the dice in a casual queue. Overall it's fun and has a lot of potential. Also, like Methuss, flying around and being a dumb rear end in a top hat is fun Methuss is great for flying to the back, pooping a turret onto the objective, then using your mega buster to backstab on your way back to the party

i've stopped playing the methuss because every time i do i almost immediately fall into flying into the enemy backline to pull asshimar-esque bullshit, which is funny, but then i could just play asshimar, and now my team isn't getting my lovely tether heal and my ult is useless

Wishful thinking but it would have been cool if they got some of the English actors from some of the series to provide some of the pilot voices, or hell make them packs you can purchase E.g. Brad Swaile for the RX-78, Michael Kopsa for the Sazabi, maybe someone like Michael McConnohie for the Zaku??? E: from the dubs that didn't suck, anyway lol

Gouf Custom would have a completely different moveset than what the melee zaku has, given that it actually has a huge gun and also a functional grappling hook attachment that can also tase people with its version of the heat rod. Like half the appeal of the Gouf Custom is the enormous gatling cannon.

The Gouf we see in the OG anime was a production model though it wasn't produced for very long because it was essentially made immediately obsolete by the Dom and there was no good reason to keep the tooling for these hyper-specialist melee units. The Gyan suffers basically the same fate, just with even fewer models produced and the only one we see in service is the one used by the guy who was irrationally attached to the program as his pet procurement project.

if they were gonna add dub actors they'd definitely go with the ones for the recent versions of the characters. the person who did char in the origin movies etc. which is not to say that the return of Michael Kopsa's char wouldn't make me instantly spend money on this game

There's also the SEED Destiny Gouf which is orange and gets the distinction of being piloted by a character who is introduced like 1/3 of the way in and then killed in the following episode because he was voiced by TM Revolution and they couldn't afford to keep him for longer than that I guess. I think those Goufs did end up being more of a mass production replacement for Zakus, though. Also because everything in SEED must be an acronym, it is Guardian Of Unity Forerunner.

I just watched Gundam 00 recently so I would like a Setsuna voice pack where all he says is "Gundam" with different inflections depending on what is happening. For actual gameplay discusssion, I usually want to play DOM because I enjoy aiming at people's feet instead of directly at them, but I am definitely liking Sazabi when my team needs a front liner. Being able to charge toward your thrown axe lets you have some decent manuverability as well. I really want to try Zaku II melee but we'll see how long that's going to take as a F2P only gamer. Some of them were actually effective enough in combat to be worth it (most weren't), but by then Nazi industry and infrastructure were far too strained by the demands of war to introduce new models in meaningful numbers, and the factories and development centers were seriously threatened by advancing Allied troops, so many of these projects never made it beyond the prototype phase. You really could find a bunch of prototype tanks and fighters scattered around the German countryside if you knew where to look, though usually the scientists and test pilots just ran away instead of dragging the prototypes into last-ditch battles like you'd see in Gundam.
