You're in for a treat, Allison has been doing videos for forever and has a bunch of really good content. There's the aforementioned Baywatching where she is watching and reviewing every single episode of Baywatch (and Baywatch Nights) in order, she's also done videos on various episodes of Star Trek and Quantum Leap.

If you want specific recommendations:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsVP-D2bmWg
A video about Eisenhower & Lutz, a sitcom starring Scott Bakula that he made right before Quantum Leap.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL5GevhM2h8
Reviewing the Star Trek: TAS episode where there's a giant clone of Spock.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVY63nx74_U
The Voyager episode when Janeway killed a sentient being.

Yeah, ProZD complained about it, and just look through Gianni's channel. Youtube created something no one wanted and is forcing people to opt out of it rather than opt in.

There's a lot of that "you need to opt out" and other poo poo nowadays if you want to upload anything to Youtube.

- No, it's not made for kids. (Though thankfully, you can set this at the channel level so you don't have to do it for every video)
- No, I don't want chapters, it's a seven minute video for crying out loud.
- No I don't want people to steal, sorry, "sample" my content
- Yes, I'm OK with people seeing the downvotes

Other frustrations include the copyright check that has a 0-100% progress bar but will often say "checks are taking longer than expected" after reaching 100% so why have the bar at all ? To say nothing of the fact that minutes or hours after it's done, you can still get a "manual" copyright match even when the video is unlisted. Oh, and you can't opt out of the copyright check.

New Blood is getting there as well.

My sidegag about this is that now every person doing game history compilations, rom roullete/pits and 1cc clears of every arcade game would easily rival the Embracer Group, but I just realized that Jeremy Parish works for Limited Run so that kiiiiind of works for now.

Board meetings where people evaluate what games got the Gong late or have enough Angel Bubsies to warrant a release, as a business model.

This... this is such a piece of poo poo. Like, I know there's a lot of time to fill on TV networks but this shouldn't have happened. And how unlikeable do you have to make a character that Scott Bakula can't save them?

The most bizarre part of that video is definitely how when the show inevitably got canned the creator just made it again using the exact same cast (minus Bakula) and with a different setting. Like that was the problem.

The closest comparison I can think of is a friend who got a low-rez waveform of her saying "I love you", and had someone paint that on a long canvas with a bright palette. The final product was an all-right looking abstract piece, but the whole exercise was just a tiny bit silly. There are even a bit sillier, since at least my friend had an actual painter put it together and didn't just run a python script over an mp4 file and then canvas-print the result.

I'd never be able to guess what words your friend said or even that they were words, but at least one out of every 100 of these is recognizable. I agree it's mostly useless and boring unless you can find a gem

As to regards to "silliness" of the excersise of making barcode movies: it's just very much easily accesible abstract art. Like, I struggle a bit prying meaning from abstract art. I looked up De Kooing's artworks after they were referenced in a tv show, and didn't get much out of it besides "oh these are pretty and interesting to look at." With the barcode art pieces, I get both the aethetic qualities AND what the meaning is behind the art piece.

I just gave up and watched every episode with Shran in it, and it's not bad like that, because Shran is hilarious. Kicks down the door to the episode all 'HEY WHAT KIND OF STUPID poo poo ARE YOU DOING NOW, LUCKY I WAS AROUND TO FIX IT' and then warps away giving no fucks.

It's quite strange to me because it's phrased as an observation about the thing being called cringe but the only real information it conveys is about the person making the observation. If I don't know you then I have know way of knowing whether the thing you find cringeworthy is actually super bad and embarrassing or it's not and you're just thin-skinned.

Anyway I don't like Devolver's live action skits but based on the small amounts of them I see while skipping through to see the trailers, they seem to have very high production values.
