Amazing day. Just amazing.

Completely aside, find myself wondering historically how many demoted kadoban Ozeki have come back with 10 wins in the following basho. Can’t be super common, but then again I wouldn’t be surprised if the percentage was high given Ozeki at least make a claim to be good rikishi.

loving fantastic day of sumo today. The thrills, chills, and spills this basho have been honestly top-notch. Also Tamawashi looks so loving fly all the time as he's clowning on the whippersnappers.

It's a bit of a bloodbath in the fantasy league – there are a lot of make-koshi being doled out.

I'm actually not sure about my own eligibility for the tag either since I MK'd in the prior tourney. Do we get a 2nd tournament to get out of 'yokogoona kadoban'? Does the fact that I'm a two-time yusho come into play?

I really want to Juryo's Machine-Gun Maru to do well but he's got to get some other tools in his arsenal other doing his impression of E Honda spamming the punch button.

Final match of the basho is dogshit, so here's hoping Takayasu forces Tamawashi into a playoff.

Otherwise the yusho will be decided halfway through the day and we have Wakamotoharu vs Mitakeumi and Takakeisho vs Shodai to cap it off. Just a pile of sad excuses for Ozeki.

Khizan

I’m hoping old man Tamawashi can take it, because I like to see he’s still kicking rear end at 37, but I will not be sad to see Takayasu finally take a yusho either.

Also, Wakatakakage is fighting like an ozeki, imo. I think he’s got a run in him if he can stop throwing the first 3-4 fights of every basho.

I'd say he's arguably on a run right now, and definitely on a run if he wins tomorrow. I agree he's fighting very well.
