In a time of nearly all blonde models there was this pseudo-goth leather second generation (third?) woman from SHIMMER that used holds from joshi and while very attractive was not the WWE type of attractive in being as pale as milk and jet black hair. Haha I'm in this video in the audience. Shimmer was always good times It's crazy seeing Saraya as a huge star now because after she got called up to WWE I stopped watching all wrestling for a while and I completely missed everything she did in WWE so I have no context for her popularity. I really appreciate people explaining it I'm really happy for her being back in the spotlight and I hope she's able to wrestle. Shame about her garbage boyfriend but that's not going to affect her on-screen persona at all other than the lovely entrance song and I barely ever pay attention to entrance music except for a few bangers like Jamie Hayter's and The Butcher and the Blade's and a couple others

Elephant Ambush posted:Haha I'm in this video in the audience. Shimmer was always good times Yeah there is the darkside of this is that Saraya is known for her relationships, she dated Alberto el Patron for a very long time who was Alberto del Rio in WWE. their relationship can be described as mutual coke addiction, abuse both physical and mental, and it pretty much derailed her career for years. It was bad and why some are a bit hesitant on her because while she was the bridge she didn't wrestle into the crossover era despite being younger than nearly all of them given how early she debuted.

KungFu Grip posted:not her matches really, which honestly were fine, but more when she was called up. it was the end cap of the divas era of wwe pretty much, so there's a lot of diva stans that love her, plus part of the early mainstream womens wrestling evolution with AJ Lee and Emma in NXT when it first started. She was pushed hard as THE face of the womens division in WWE before her first injury and other life issues took her off TV that girls that probably watched her gowning up 10 years ago might be into AEW now. To a lot of people she is also a very attractive young woman who made a lot of money off of twitch mostly by being attractive.

davidbix posted:I feel like you and others here are just completely forgetting how good she was in the month when she came back sober before she got re-injured? She was every bit as good as the best workers in the division, if not better. The Sasha Banks match on Raw was fantastic and easily better than everything else she had done in WWE up to that point. A whole month of being good four/five years ago probably isn't the answer to the original questions about why she's so over or why this is a good idea for AEW.

1glitch0 posted:Maybe, but I think the type of person who'd get into a lazy WWE ARG would also be the type of person who would LOVE Bray to come back. That's what I meant, though I didn't word it very clearly. It's funny to me because Bray is by far the most obvious option to the point that it renders "decoding clues" pretty meaningless, but in the event that it's leading to someone else instead and the clues actually do matter, it's probably going to go over like a lead balloon Put another way, the chalk pick is just to glance at this poo poo and say "oh it's Bray Wyatt being vaguely ominous" and not think about it further. If it turns out to actually be some ornately crafted mystery and the effort people are putting into solving it is a genuine surprise, it's going to be received worse than the obvious answer. Like imagine putting up all these giant online corkboards with all the red yarn you could want and then when it's finally complete, the guy in the middle is Karrion Kross lol TheIncredulousHulk fucked around with this message at 19:42 on Sep 24, 2022 |
