 : Beat Episode 1Never played Doom before this, got a really late start on this one and was afraid I wasn't going to get anything done in time. Got to the third level last night and got stuck in the dark room after grabbing the blue key cause I just couldn't find the way out for what felt like 5 minutes, then died from walking into the acid patch and ragequit. Picked it back up today and managed to clear the first chapter. Agree with what others have said, even with it lagging horribly, being impossible to see, and otherwise sucking, there's a cool game here. Definitely gonna spin up a PC Doom at some point soon once I finish at least one game I'm currently trying to complete.

this is the room where the game reveals its true intentions for you. it's not the hardest room but it's where it sits down on a backwards chair and says "so, this is how this is gonna go..." this is the room where it cuts the pretense and puts a pool ball in a sock  two floors down. quite enjoying myself! also: the manual is wrong, it's alt-r to restore your save game and ctrl-r to restart the level, just in case you give yourself a heart attack thinking you lost your save
