anyone know where they measured the wind and pressure for the update this morning? usually it’s not too far off from recon flight data, but looking at the recon flight that just finished i’m seeing max winds around 85kt and max surface pressures around 990 mb. much wider gap than i’m used to seeing, but maybe they have buoys or other stations more reliable than aircraft instruments and dropsonde in there now?
