Redactle seems to play off this because I find myself scanning rapidly over it and automatically fitting in likely phrases. It's definitely does NOT always work, but it does seem to help  Plus, as other have said, you can work out what the absolutely basic type of article it is (biography, history, disambiguation etc) from the format.The ones about theoretical scientific concepts always stump me lol. edit: also if you highlight a redacted word you can see exactly how many letters there are in it, which helps to narrow down your choices a bit. Like Pookah said, I try to first see what general type of subject it is. If i see obvious four letter dates “in year…..” or “from year-year then it’s likely historical or biographical. If there are tons of one letter 1 then it’s likely math or science But then there’s ones like today’s where there aren’t obvious clues and you just start guessing really common words that show up in Wikipedia articles like “one”, “most”, “first”, “world”, “time”, “be”, “such”. World is good because lots of times you’ll get a capitalized hit like World War II or an obvious organization
