Also, maybe relevantly given the time travel thing, Xantcha was a phyrexian creature born (?) and bred (?), and she was able to develop a will of her own. Wrong era, tho, IIRC - urza met with Xantcha well after the Brothers War

Blood Crypt has been on the list for at least a couple of sets, but many of the other shocks aren’t at all.
