A bittersweet one is an extremely tiny little Yorkie we met a few times. We called him Wee Spinny, because he was extremely tiny, and very spinny. He really wanted to be friends, but he was so shy he couldn't quite manage coming over to be patted. We didn't see him for many months, but a day or so ago, we were passing his house, and a very friendly yorkie came rushing over, followed by the lady of the house. At first, we assumed it was him, but this new dog was far too big. We got chatting to the lady, and it turned out Wee Spinny got liver cancer when he was just six  and died only 11 months after she got him (she adopted him from a rescue).This new girl had only been with her for a few months, and, while the loss of Wee Spinny was still very painful, her sweet nature was helping a lot. What was most moving, was that when I said I absolutely remembered her little guy who died, she was so surprised and touched. Sweet little dogs are made to be remembered, even if they are only with us for a moment.

Our 3 cats all hate each other but they're starting to hate each other a lot less. The puffy one in the back is p ok with most things as long as he has my wife to lay on and his fluffy pillow to stomp, except for when the big one tries to lay on him.
