It might have a bottle of some additive that it can mix into the water stream for that scenario. Or maybe they'll just use it to wet down nearby areas to stop the fire spreading while waiting for the actual city fire department to arrive.

Here's an OSHA question, does anyone know of a steel or composite safety toe insert or add-on for boots that won't make me look too dorky or like a cyborg? I got a second pair of some boots I like off eBay but I didn't catch that it's an identical model but without the steel toe my current pair has. I'm seeing stuff like this that's listed as an "insert" but clearly goes on the outside: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175394793248 Something like that in an actual insert form would be nice. I wouldn't be adverse to some DIY trick like peeling off the rubber on those, if I could know for a fact they'd fit inside afterwards.

I worked at a safety boot store for a while and only ever saw the external ones. Doesn't mean they don't exist, of course, but I feel like they'd be pretty uncomfortable.

I imagine most use cases for steel-toed shoes include the requirement of being able to tell at a glance that someone is wearing them without making them take off their boots to prove they have the Toe Retaining DLC installed today
