Per ESPN Stats and Info: Ohio State has scored 49+ points in nine straight games vs Rutgers. That is the longest streak by any team vs a single opponent in the AP Poll Era (since 1936). Ohio State has to play Rutgers every single year. Thanks again Jim Delaney.

Everyone rugby punts now right? It seems stupid not to because at a bare minimum it gives the coverage team time to get downfield and best case scenario you get whatever Rutgers was going for here.

The Rid River Shootout line is at Texas -6.5 now, a 10-point swing in 24 hours without any kind of significant news (injury reports, coaching poo poo, etc.). Think that's the biggest swing I've ever seen without something obvious affecting it. The assumptions are that Ewers will play and Gabriel won't (though of course those are just assumptions, and I do recall one of you Texas posters pointing out that Sark fucks with injury news), but surely Vegas knew about them, too. The whole thing is a bit bizarre. Wish so bad I could'a gotten in on that opening line to

I suspect that in addition to the tings you mentioned a lot of money came in on the Texas side of the line which pushed it that way too. Now watch Texas win by like 3 and just totally gently caress the bookies.

Do they let you bet before the week of the game? Like generally books want even bets on both sides so unless a fuckton of money came in on Oklahoma between Texas losing to Tech and Oklahoma getting pantsed twice in a row I'm not sure what would cause that line to be set so wildly in favor of OU

The Penn State - Michigan game in two weeks is on Fox's Big Noon kickoff. The Big Ten needs to put its foot down on these marquee games at noon. It's costing the conference viewers.

Based on everything that's happened so far, I'd call this game a toss-up. Maybe Texas is favored a little bit if Ewers plays (we won't know until the first snap knowing Sark).

Wisconsin is so hosed as a program that it's incredible. Like, who's coming to play for this team? The whole organization from the sports director on down has basically said 'gently caress it' for a generation. What horse-poo poo.

I have the Caesar's sportsbook app and check it periodically even though I can't use it to wager outside Nevada and they did not have OU-Texas up before early Sunday morning. There's a ~*theory*~ that sometimes the books set "rat lines" to encourage a shitload of money to be put on one side, only to cause a backlash and a similar dumptruck of money to be put on the other to even things out, all in a way to just get more money on the game. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the line move closer to Texas -3 or 4 by kickoff.

Wisconsin has consistently been the second best team in the conference for much of the last 15 years, although they've been below Michigan and Penn State for most of the last 6 seasons. The right hire can get them back into the Big Ten West hunt as soon as one or two years. Nebraska is in a way worse position. If Bert can turn Illinois around as fast as he's done, it can happen anywhere else in the conference.

Always great when these ding-dongs' general incompetence gets a player loving hurt. They also missed Darnell Washington being targeted late in the game. Granted, the Mizzou defender bounced off him backwards 5 yards because Darnell is an enormous human, but targeting is targeting, sorry.
