drat this really is a cornucopia of osha tree content, i cannot resist analysis i mean it kinda looks like they removed the canopy - save for the heaviest, thickest branches which are conveniently right over the house and in the perfect place to work against their notch attempt i think the notch looks a little too tall and a little too shallow, not really giving anything for the tree to fall into. they put the tag line in but had nobody on it. I'm not sure if that would have even saved the situation with how much tree was still there. they start to cut towards that lovely notch and it pinches because there is a ton of counter weight up there. so then they threw their redneck jack in and pushed it right where gravity wanted to take it! it really is a good demonstration of how nuanced tree felling/removal can be. in situations like this we pretty much always brought the tree down to a 10-12' spar, which makes the notching and felling trivial. if the owner had the budge it may have been a crane removal candidate over the roof. and then there is the complete lack of PPE across the board! the good news is given the continuing economic troubles post-COVID, there have been dudes like this coming out of the 20 Blunts fucked around with this message at 21:36 on Oct 6, 2022 |

Just saw some good truck fuckling on the way home as a truck smacked right into a train bridge on my drive home. At least he was going very slowly, but there was still an audible crunch and then some yelling. This happens like once a month at this spot.
