A few houses on a street a few blocks from me have released a rather large number of pet store rabbits in the neighborhood that are surviving just fine. “Slow down for wildlife” signs have started popping up on that street as well. In what I am sure is an entirely unrelated coincidence, I killed a six and a half foot Burmese python that was cruising down my street two weeks ago, and the local gray fox population is super-healthy. Apparently someone spotted a coyote recently, too! Nature… Nature finds a way.
