Said he drank "five bottles of Sargon" and took the stool softening tablets because he'd been coughing up undigested food and poo poo. Now he's a new man, cured. The next year's paper had his obituary.

it says in this one here that they had a vote between avocado burgers and that monstrosity and the monstrosity won https://news.mt.co.kr/mtview.php?no=2022101117361748411 also, min-cho-dan is reported to be short for mint-choco-mania, i thought it was short for "sweet" but its the other gloss

Scarodactyl posted:Are lampreys more sustainable than eels? How about hagfish? Sea/Atlantic Lamprey are a destructive invasive species (they eat away at lake trout populations) in the American Great Lakes, and are already harvested in large quantities. Supposed to taste like squid. Hagfish do not taste good, but are considered an aphrodisiac in Korea because loving everything is an aphrodisiac somewhere. There's a fishery in Washington that ships primarily to South Korea. Eels got hosed hard because people weren't going after just the adults, they'd grab up all of the babies, too. Really exacerbated the effect of overfishing.

It doesn't help that eel reproduction is some kind of inverse-salmon bullshit that we still don't fully understand. Sigmund Freud was driven mad as a grad student by dissecting countless eels trying to find the testicles (and unable to because they don't develop those until later in their development cycle.) In Spain they still eat the baby eels like a big plate of spaghetti.
