VideoGames posted:Death Stranding is a game I am playing next year. I am looking forward to it way more after experiencing MGS1-3. Oh drat you're in for a treat, I think it's right up your alley. It's undeniably a highly polarizing game, and I think it can require someone being in the right frame of mind to "click" with it. I bounced off it initially, even, and then when I picked up again and got a little bit further it became my game of the PS4 generation.

Death stranding came out when my wife was pregonate with our kid and I legit cried at many points in the story and felt real strong emotions about lil bb and I even called my kid bb for a while until somehow gooby stuck. I get why some people don’t like it but also they’re wrong death stranding is a game of all time

I just thought about FFVIIrebirth on the way and it reminded me of all the joy FFVIIremake gave me and I am absolutely more hyped for that game than any other game in existence. Assuming with all the 4K textures and audio it'd be absolutely huge compared to the PS4 version if it wasn't compressed :edit: also because it's SSD you don't have to duplicate assets all over the hard drive to make them load faster

At most, there's nothing that will make you even half smile, like.. maybe the way a cadaver flops into a hole in a strange way then lands with a weird squelch, but that's it. good game though! Both A Plague Tale games have some Beksinski influence. In the first game, it was brief, but the painting of the cathedral you posted is straight-up recreated toward the end of the game. The second game has more of that. Dark Souls draws from it too, especially the third one, though somewhat more subtly. For a game that directly incorporates Beksinski's influence, The Medium was really visually bland most of the time... at least as far as I got in before quitting out of boredom (As I did with Observer and Layers of Fear... those guys are incapable of designing engaging gameplay).

The Medium IS the scariest game I played. But that's mainly because I first played it on PC, forgot I had a 2nd controller plugged in via USB, and it vibrated off the table and startled me.
