The MV I'm hugely split on. One the one hand, its shot well and looks amazing, and has a ton of great poo poo in it. On the other hand, it doesn't go with the music *at all*. Like the music is doing this somewhat stripped down sound and the MV is super busy and active all over the place. Its not fair, but compare it to underwater from kwon eun bi and look at how the video emphasizes the mood of the sound. Despite definitely a much smaller budget it feels like the MV is adding to the song instead of being at odds with it.

Yea companies seem to always trickle out the enlistments and have the other members do solo stuff in the meantime, but I'd think it'd be better to just have them all go at once. Just have a comeback lined up for them as they get out of service. In BTS's case I think they sort of wanted a general break so its a good excuse to trickle them out, but I think if the group is popular enough to support solo projects and extended enlistment they're popular enough to survive no comebacks while they're all in. Lets you do a big going-away and coming-back event as well.

Change and Reset are bops. I think Nxde is the first title track from Idle that I'm not really vibing with at all. MV is great tho, but I'm pretty  on the song. Latata through to Hwaa are all so loving good; just an amazingly solid string of singles. Tomboy is good too, but it gets upstaged by all the b-sides for me.

Been listening to Lee Chanhyuk's album and it's interesting. If I had to describe it I'd have to say it's like he went more experimental/synthwave from AKMU's 'Next Episode'. Alternatively it reminds me a lot of The Weekend's "After Hours' album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7C8qIpo7Dg Also, dunno anyone noticed the release, but Netflix put out a show called 'Take 1' where they approached various Korean musicians and basically gave them money to pick one song and put on a performance for it in 1 take. Though not really sure what that means since they still get practice and rehearsal time. Only watched the episodes for AKMU and Mamamoo so far, but it's been interesting to see how things go. Mamamoo's minds immediately went to show for the fans and bent the one song rule to do two songs with a medley bridge. AKMU's, well Chanhyuk really, saw it as an opportunity to make the performance music video of his dreams for Nakka. It was super interesting to see it play out since they had to do the video in one continuous take. From the actual kpop world they pulled Luna (fx), Min (miss a), Bohyung (spica/keembo), and Kevin Woo (u-kiss). I actually only found out about this because I was rooting around for Bohyung info lol. Looks like the person at the end of pixy's villain mv was Rinji, who is the new member that was filling in on Ella's dance parts in the earlier leg of the tour and has been performing with parts on all on the EU leg. Unsure of how true some words I've seen are about earlier plans to have had in the group, but at the very least it looks like they've been planning on adding her for a while. Probably have to wait a while before we hear sort of post-mortems on what happened, but at least it doesn't look like they're scrambling around trying to figure out what to do.
