Ok, so, admittedly this was like a decade ago, in what must have been the first incarnation of the thread, but does anybody remember some kind of corporate filing CIG did where the associated lawyer's email address was something like 'Bettercallsaul@aol.com'? I just finished the series (excellent, would recommend) and somehow recalled something like that. Somewhat fitting that the email that was just a breaking bad reference at the time has now run its entire course as a show. Saul probably could have made a better Star Citizen too, at least he would have delivered something on time

MAJOR BCS SPOILERS It's pretty fitting that Saul has a good run for a long while, yet ends up in prison because he can't help himself and has to keep grifting some more.

I know. The funniest thing is that in the "LGBTQ skin" thread citizens were saying "stop being political, if you want a rainbow skin just ask for one without giving it other connotations". So, following their advice, someone asks for a rainbow skin and the same people are now going "well rainbows have obvious political meaning, you can't ask for them!".  So fragile.

12 hours and the rainbow skin thread is still going strong!  Triggered by a rainbow:  LGBTQ are "colorful freaks", but tbh I guess this citizen (already featured several times in the previous post) has a problem with any kind of colored people.  CIG has fallen to woke agendas, sadly.

At this point I have fun just watching a group of self-selected lovely gamers waste huge amounts of time and money supporting a blatantly obvious scam. Chris and the backers deserve each other. I’ve long since stopped even trying to convince anyone. Anytime interact with Citizens I say nothing but positive things about the game and try to get them hyped to buy more spaceships. I want them to spend every cent they have.

Small update, the rainbow thread is still up and, after 16 hours, a mod finally started deleting the most disgusting posts, possibly because some users were starting to make noise about it. But neither of the citizens posting stuff about colored freaks, mental illnesses or lube jokes has incurred in any kind of ban so far. Cause, as always, it seems those are reserved to users doubting CIG and spreading defamatory narratives, while hate speech and calls for violence are probably seen as harmless pranks by the mod team, or maybe some mods support that kind of behaviour, who knows. Or maybe they just didn't want to annoy the many citizens who upvoted and agreed with said hate speech, better not unsettle the cash cow even if it misbehaves.  Edit: the worst offender got a measly week, the other citizen saying mental illness and such got nothing, such a strict moderation when it comes to minorities! I thought a key selling point of Squadron 42/Star Citizen was that it would force the player to make difficult choices, with meaningful repercussions later in the game. Assault the base of the pirates that kidnapped a colonist's family, placing yourself and your vessel at risk, or follow Space Hammill's order to stand down and let the underfunded local security forces try to resolve it? Damned of you do - Hammill will report you as insubordinate and you might have to mop Pusher's deck for a few in-game weeks - and damned if you don't - you can't go back to that planet because the colonist is an influential politician who declares you a supporter of terrorism. But now Squadron/SC shouldn't have any politics in it? No decision between the welfare of the few versus the needs of the many? No comment at all on the fact that you were in the military of a multiplanet empire? That there is a very literal race war as the backdrop of the games? Didn't they have an election recently of their emperor which was, well, entirely political?

I think this citizen is slightly overestimating the amount of life forms whose carbon should have gone to better things.  Zyloh himself had to come up and save face for CIG, possibly due to this poo poo making the rounds on social media. Zyloh bro, your stance is zero tolerance but your mods handed just a single 7 day ban after all the stuff that's been posted, I don't think I believe you. CIG is doing a pikachu face after years of appealing to every single type of person and saying "yes our game is for you! we'll have this feature!" Now that the group asking for things are the fascists, CIG is confused about what to do since they're only good at saying yes and then asking for more money. Croberts would love to simply promise a "coloreds" and an "LGBT" slider in the game that players can slide down to 0 to modify their gameplay experience, but unfortunately, that will not go over well with the broader society.
