I generally use Injustice Watch and Girl, I Guess to figure out who has cop endorsements and vote no on them right off the bat, then skim for good people to vote yes on. Anyone in the middle gets a no just to make them sweat when the final numbers come out.

It's still incredibly rare for a judge to not be retained (I think only one in the last 30 years).

just make sure to vote no on judge William Hooks as he let a DUI killer get only ten days in jail. girl i guess still has him as a yes, saying that the family of the victim didn’t object to the plea deal, but that doesn’t line up with other quotes i’ve read from them.

Also depending on the rest of the judges rulings. I would definitely vote yes on judges that give light sentences to people generally, so that's not a great motivator for me. Our criminal justice system doesn't actually get anyone any sort of actual help they need.

There was some weird progressive infighting in villanueva's race, I think that was a proxy fight between Chuy Garcia and Sigcho-Lopez (25th ward alderman). Also X-Man I'm coming around to your view of the author of that guide, I no longer recommend GIG to friends.

Oh yea that's right, doesn't the author own a business in Sigcho's ward? I heard someone say she made the endorsement as a favor for some assistance he gave her. I live and work on the Northwest Side so I probably only heard part of it.

So it seems like early voting is down in Chicago and that is leading to some buzz about how voting turn out might be down. I wonder if vote by mail is dropping that or if it is really less enthusiasm.

The lawsuit, led by four-term U.S. Rep. Mike Bost of Murphysboro echoes some of the rejected court challenges filed by former President Donald Trump in other states in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election that he falsely contends was stolen. Bost is being assisted in the suit by a nonprofit conservative advocacy organization that has backed a number of Trump’s efforts. At issue is a 2015 state law that allows vote-by-mail ballots to be counted if they are received within 14 days after Election Day if they were postmarked on or before the final day of voting. If the ballots lack a postmark or if it is illegible, ballots can be counted if the voter dated and signed the ballot on or before Election Day.

I didn't think anything about it until my step mother was talking about going to early vote at village hall, but I received a text the other day, supposedly from Vote Latino, reminding me to vote but the location given was a whole different suburb. It looks like the misinformation campaign is underway.

If figured the burbs were similar as long as you stayed in the same county, but I don’t really know.

I'm not honestly sure, but the fact that it wasn't the early voting location in my town that's closer than the one they gave me an address for was suspicious when I thought about it. I've also been getting ilgop texts a couple times per week for the past two months.
