Interesting smells on the breeze, like a dog version of reading a good book. I got to walk these two good girls yesterday because my mom suggested I come to the shelter while she volunteers because I’m severely depressed. I figured playing with som good dogs would cheer me up.  Poor Eggroll was brought in by cops. I’m guessing the people who owned her lived in the country since there were apparently multiple calls about her before she was collected. City limit laws tend to be better about animal neglect. So since she is now receiving regular meals, her skin is flaky and itchy while it regenerates healthier. I feel terrible for her. She is a very sweet young lady. Still very hungry though. Instead of playing in the play yard, she mostly scavenged for pieces of kibble someone left on the ground, while keeping her eyes on me to make sure I did not leave her alone. Then periodically trotting back for pets while full body wagging. Or bringing me a toy so that we could play a very rough game of tug o’war. Lots of shaking of the toy while I held it. I have no clue what Ladybug’s story is, but she is also very sweet. She very much enjoyed the doggy kickball toys they have in the play yard and even managed to retrieve it so that I could kick it for her again after the first 10 minutes of excitement at being out of her run. She also likes a good cuddle and thinks I am funny. I like it when I can make dog laugh. She is also beautiful. I might go back later today to walk the massive red spaniel/hound?/spaniel mix, Lucas. He’s estimated at 3 years old, and his hips already look arthritic. I have no permanent home and no money, so I can’t consider adopting any of them, and seeing Lucas made me especially sad about it because I have a feeling he would be the perfect speed for me, but general expenses for a dog that size (heartworm and flea/tick prevention) are pretty high and that doesn’t include medication to help with the weak back legs if it isn’t early signs of displasia or something.  It was dog dinner time when I came back in with Ladybug (she had finished dinner by the time I took her out), and I thought it would be rude to take Lucas out before he had finished. Although he thought about asking before opting for the food, because he appears to be super mild mannered and didn’t feel like stressing between food and Walkies. He had also just come in from outside in one of the off leash potty yards. My phone quickly dies as soon as I turned it on, so I don’t have personal pictures of the dogs. Lucas looks like he's had a bit of a hard life, here's hoping somebody can adopt him that will take care of all his needs.

Once I get my first paycheck (new job starts next week) I’ll replace the current one. Since Apple will no longer be providing security updates to my model soon, I figure I should replace it instead of replacing the battery. Also, someone ina different thread read a description of what’s going on and, I think, said it was probably with some different hardware in the phone. The phone was at 100% when it died, soooo. And since new models are coming out soon, I should be able to get a refurbished 2020 model cheapish. I’ll bring my tablet when I go. My phone camera also may work for a little while. The phone crashed yesterday because I tried to open YouTube for cat tv for some unsocialised cats. But I know using the camera on my phone makes the battery issue angry.
