My brother in law came up from young times with Alan and Mimi and was in Low for a long long time, and had nothing but wonderful things to say about Mim. She died with her family surrounding her so that's a good thing at least.

Yeah if you have to go, that's the way to do it. Their newest album is one of my favorite albums by anybody in years, which is both great and sad. I've liked Low since I got into indie music over 20 years ago and this is so very sad. They've never been in my personal top tier, but were always consistent and interesting. They were very special. gently caress, I feel so bad for Alan.

A friend and I had tickets to see Low earlier this year, but it was like a Tuesday night, and we had been to a bunch of concerts and were tired, so we decided not to go. I regret that now.

I saw them at a tiny venue in Davenport, Iowa in July. The next day they played to 10,000+ at Pitchfork. They also played at the PRF Winter Thunderdome thing years ago in a hotel in Escanaba, Michigan in the dead of winter. That's Low to me, they would play anywhere at anytime. Gems.
