I have been going through the backlog of Conan's podcast and his discussion with Howard is the best, most A+ Howard time I have ever heard: https://teamcoco.com/podcasts/conan-obrien-needs-a-friend/episodes/howard-stern Nothing shockingly new as a lot of it is his insecurity, but more honest than I have felt he has shared on his own show. I actually left it feeling less upset about him censoring his old self (though Conan basically urges him not to) but he also shares that his current will (at the time of the recording) calls for his archives to be destroyed at his death which is very wrong (and likely impossible).

Follow the money (or those that need it). Ralph for loving sure because his star loving days have likely already ended. Sal is likely. Richard is possible but he wouldn't talk any poo poo. Hein is old enough with some cash that I doubt it. Who knows what Benji would do. I think JD is possible too. Much of the "back office" would likely be able to parlay in to careers elsewhere.

I can't see Ralph doing a show or a tell-all book or something because that would require effort and Ralph can't do anything that requires more than four seconds of work. Ralph easily has the best tell-all book in him as he's the person who is closest to Howard in his personal life. I also think Howard will indefinitely keep him on the payroll for that reason, even after the show ends, just to keep him happy. The only way we get the book is if Howard dies and Ralph needs money, and I can easily see Howard outliving Ralphie Cakes. Benjy is homeless within a year after the show ends. The producer types should all easily find work, Richard will go back to making music and will probably go on the Patreon tit for the rest of his life. Gary should be able to retire at this point with his teen anal collection. Sal is homeless within six months after the show ends.

My prediction is: -This actually is Howard's last contract. The show as it stands today will end December 2025. -Howard 101 will stay active for at least a few years beyond that just playing clip shows and commentary. At best there might be some limited, cheap original programming with Howard staying as a "producer." This will keep some of the staff employed and allow Howard to still feel like he is involved. -Conan becomes SiriusXM's comedy/talk radio figure with regular shows and potentially moves to 100 (I just saw he announced yesterday he is launching Conan 106 next week). -Fred and Robin fully retire. Howard basically retires. Gary retires outside of maybe hosting something from home on 101. The majority of the show's writers/producers just move on to new projects. Sal and Richard team up with a successful producer (Yucko?) and develop a raunchy animated series for a streaming company. I can't imagine The Sal Show or any kind of podcast being worth a poo poo. He comes up with some decent bits but most of the comedy he provides comes from people ragging on him and making fun of him. Richard seems like he could parlay something weird out of the show with strange interviews and odd things like Inside the Porn Actors Studio. Hell, he can just go land a gig as a loving drummer for that matter because he's quite good.
