I recently got into a fight on nextdoor about some random loose dogs in the neighborhood. Someone posted a warning about how there were dangerous loose dogs in the neighborhood, and I was like "no, they were in my front yard when I got home from work and they seemed perfectly cool when I approached them, but they ran off to the north (from my intersection) before I could get the info off the one that had a collar". And numerous people came after me about how they were terrifying monsters who barked aggressively at their sweet baby and that they needed to be immediately put down and no one should leave their house until the authorities took care of it. I originally signed up to get help finding my lost cat, which also was a fruitless effort, but people on there seem crazier and crazier every time I check in. I still have my account though because it's fun to look at a crazier more local version of facebook sometimes.
