Why is a guy who makes absolutely horrible porn and also is an obnoxious rear end with a permanent rage boner at Murata for "ruining" ONE's vision allowed to have anything to do with the IP? Couldn't they get someone who's not a terminal clown? I'm sure he's already declared the franchise dead to him outside the webcomic anyway. Chapter was good btw. I'm glad OPM the manga is getting more back on track since I'll be honest: that last arc was really testing my patience sometimes. The resolution was great but the middle part just dragged too much and I dunno what caused that. It's like they were stalling for time but there's no anime currently airing and the webcomic still hasn't returned and ONE has been busy with MP100 III and apparently a new manga anyway. And it's not like I'm particularly loyal to the webcomic either, I like it a lot but it's not some untouchable masterpiece that shouldn't be altered if remade in manga form. But this poo poo so far has been golden.

Out of curiosity why has Saitama been promoted to the A class anyway? We as the viewers are aware why, but I don't see how MHA's viewpoint would lead to that conclusion. This is what I assume they see. - B class accidentally wanders into operational restricted area. - He does not die. - He "assists" S class Flashy Flash in scouting the enemy headquarters. - He brings back Intel of Blast and the cube. - He is part of final Garou encounter and one of the few still standing. - He is vouched for by Flashy Flash, King and Genos. I can see him going up a few ranks but not an entirely new class (unless I misremember and he was like Class B Rank 3 or something). Unless there were a lot of class A deaths / retirements, I don't know how Saitama could have jumped so far ahead. I know I'm overthinking this but still wanted to ask.

My read is that Genos gave a 4 hour lecture, with a dozen books of collected notes, on how Saitama is the strongest being in the universe. While the execs may be weary of the details, they aren't willing to completely disregard the testimony of one of their top heroes. Sweet Mask is involved in decisions for hero promotions, and it looks like he heard enough to take a shot at it. Also, Saitama being promoted to A Class means he can move into HQ where people can keep a closer eye on him

He participated and survived in an event big enough to get him promoted to S class, and we all know that he isn't S class due to bureaucracy. Most heroes present there probably agree he's S-Class or above, and I imagine they gave them testimonies. It'd be weirder if he wasn't promoted, I assume he wasn't promoted to S straight away for 1) the joke 2) his sheet has a lot of inconsistencies and he's been accused of fraud in the past so the powers that be likely have no idea how to deal with that due to incompetence and bureaucracy.
