Count Fenring: He’ll destroy the spice exactly as per... look, man, I've got certain information, all right? Certain things have come to light. And, you know, has it ever occurred to you, that, instead of, uh, you know, running around, uh, uh, blaming me, you know, given the nature of all this new poo poo, you know, I-I-I-I... this could be a-a-a-a lot more, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, complex, I mean, it's not just, it might not be just such a simple... uh, you know? Shaddam: What in God's holy name are you blathering about? You know it to be true.

I'm really hoping that they were filming in Jordan and took a day off to go see Petra for fun and aren't going to film scenes for their far future outer space movie at an incredibly famous world heritage site that has already been prominently featured in several major motion pictures.

I'm diggin The Big Lebowski crossover jokes, but man that movie never fails to put me right to sleep. It's not even that it's bad, it's pretty good, it just drags in a way that's oddly lulling in the middle act. Not sure I've ever stayed awake through the whole thing.

Isaac Asimov's stuff was fairly sci-fi first, people second, even though the man was apparently an awful sex pest in general (), but even in his robot novels where the plot device is a logical-but-not-reasonable-humaniform robot (think Data from startrek), one of the books in the series is about a robot that a horny lady hosed until the robot broke, and the resolution involved the woman having sex of dubious consent with a filthy Earthman. So you know, yeah. Did Clarke have any horny books? The Rama series becomes a weird soap opera with weird sex and family drama, but that's Gentry Lee's fault as far as I know. DeadlyMuffin posted:Which one was it that kept having gay shock troops as some sort of sacred band of Thebes reference? Heinlein? I just remember seeing it over and over in some author's work... The Forever War has some problematic views about homosexuality in an eternal war complicated by relativistic travel problems, maybe you're thinking of that? Heinlein was the incest dude.
