There have been a few recent baseball eps, I haven't listened to them but a baseball Dollop is always good. Also agree with whoever recommended live eps, Dave does seem to pick more fun/less doomer topics for those. Macquarie Island was prob the most horrible live ep I can remember and it was horrible in a funny Dollop way rather than a depressing one. At least to me. I might be hosed up.

One of my favorite live episode moments are in the Real Crocodile Dundee episode, when Dave and Garreth learn that the kids game "telephone" is not called that in Australia. Dave even guesses that the aussie name is something racist before the entire crowd shouts the name "Chinese Whispers" and both of the American hosts lose their poo poo. The entire episode is hillarious as well, definitely one of my favorites.

I only became aware that name existed when I heard two Australian Youtubers mention it when talking about a book series. But yeah, the Aussie live episodes have never disappointed me.

There's a really good documentary about Linda Hazzard on Youtube by Ask A Mortician btw. If you haven't watched any of her stuff before, don't be put off by the thumbnail face she's doing, she knows it's looks stupid and off putting but she's also been on the platform long enough to know that these kinds of sacrifices of one's dignity have to be made to please the almighty algorithm. It looks fine compared to things like the thumbnails of reaction channels and the like, but IIRC she has said that it feels very tacky to plaster her face with a "ooh spooky" expression on half the thumbnail of her somber, serious videos.

Open mouth guy thumbs is an instant unsub for me. Your videos might be great, but if you're willingly copying the format of videos that are absolute dreck I just can't respect you or risk having your open mouth be the first thing greeting anyone trying to navigate the YouTube on my TV.

I don't mind Weird YouTuber Face being done to appease the algorithm, especially if the alternative is stock SEO clickbait titles that hardly describe what the video is about like "YOU WILL LOSE IT at this mystery!" God I hate the Internet sometimes.

Ugh, a channel I used to watch from time to time went from normal, descriptive video titles to doing this a while back. I pretty much stopped watching because it's hard to tell what any of the videos are going to be about or whether they're part of a series, it's dumb as hell. Not to mention nonsense titles make it impossible to search channels for anything in particular I know this has nothing to do with the dollop, but everything getting continually shittier is loving frustrating
