Well he is starting a trial initiated by Tesla shareholder challenging his compensation package today. In Delaware. They want to 'nullify' his compensation package, whatever that means.

The Last Call posted:https://twitter.com/GergelyOrosz/status/1592109042641801216 To basically translate this tweet series, it means that making any change to live Twitter code is now not allowed and also not possible. The latter is weird. Companies usually don’t make it impossible to make changes because why would you cut off employees like that? They’re not children, they’re professionals. (Well. Most of them.) But if there are systems submitting new Twitter code automatically, that would explain it.

The part about automated systems is speculation. It could also be a power play to control what goes into Twitter. We know there are significant fights happening internally so someone might have just pulled the switch. Either the Musk faction who doesn’t trust the old Twitter employees and think they’re incompetent, or the Elon stans from his other companies are pushing such poo poo code that the infra team was tired of them breaking poo poo

All the Elon firing news makes me really appreciate working in a lumbering, byzantine, publicly traded corporation. Could I get fired in 2023 if the recession continues apace? Yes. Could I get fired not for cause, but rather because the shareholders demand mass sacrifices for Number? Almost assuredly. Will I see it coming and have time to prepare? Most likely. If I get fired will the CEO himself let me know day of via an emoji laden Tweet and clumsy repurposing of the Press F to Pay Respects meme? Probably not.

Now how will they get in on Elon's double targeted ads? Exclusive access to every user whose bank account can be illegally linked to an insurance provider. Selling dick pills to old perverts who follow porn accounts, diet suppressors to those with eating disorder chat in their DMs, brain pills to the ones who are being relentlessly cyberbullied (on twitter). The options are endless if you're not limited by consumer protection laws (because you choose not to be).
