We've noticed a mildew smell that won't go away in the bedroom and I looked real close under the mattress yesterday and found mold on the cover. We flipped it today to investigate and yup mold underneath. My gf thought we could just cut out the inner cover and maybe the foam itself is okay, and it turned out the inner cover is made of fiberglass and little shiny dust bits floated around Had to put on masks and open the windows to tje room and then try to contain the glass dust. My gf vacuumed it all naked and now new mattress time I guess, gently caress

Were looking at brands and everything is like $400+ for a queen, and anything advertised as mold resistant is even more expensive I dont think we really need mold resistant as the mold itself was really just in one spot and idk how long it had been there. We run a dehumidifier and have damprid all around the room now and I think we'll be flipping/rotating more in the future I think a little shard got my nose
