Lol that wing is neat in an ironic spaceship sort of way, but it doesn't even line up with the body panel gaps so I'm assuming it's mounted wrong somehow

When you want a wing but you don't want to change the overall dimensions of your car, try installing a weird hosed up wing instead!

It's such a poorly designed logo. Rule one if it's text, it should be easily readable. https://twitter.com/Shwinnabego/status/1593377511030792197?t=2mqjvL8jAGYArfjSLJe0QA&s=19

My grandma, who passed in 2018 at 100, ordered a Grand Am (she only drove Pontiac) with a "basket handle" . She thought that was the best feature they ever came out with because "no one likes to fumble around to open and close the trunk". It was a spoiler

There's nothing wrong with the new Kia logo As soon as people get used to it they'll calm down. Nobody is out there googling "car logo cross with slanted sides" etc

Gonna jump in and say that every time I see the new Kia logo my brain parses it as KN. I know what it is, I’ve always known what it is, but brain says KN because it does not look like KIA.

If we don’t teach our kids cursive they’ll never know what a Ford is Chevy is the most American logo. Not only is it in clear block print but they even shortened the name to make it easier to say

Similarly rear end is Polestar's logo which is just a crappy star, nothing else on the car that tells you what it is. I post in AI, I know who Polestar are but I imagine a lot of people see the car and think "ooh that's nice, what is it?" but aren't actually able to find out. Seems silly to me. Your car is the ad but if they don't know what it is how are they meant to have a gander?

I have to admit when I first saw the logo a few years ago I did not know what it was and looked for the car online, it was a dark or black logo on a dark grey car that was all angular and sporty did not expect it to be a KIA and I look at cars online and read about them constantly (admittedly skipping over any news about Kia)

david_a posted:I have never noticed that logo before. I’m sure I’ve seen it next to the brand name, but never isolated. Is that all they put on their cars? I think I’ve only seen Polestars from a distance. They only have the star, yeah. While I like the cars overall I do think they went a little too minimal by not having the brand name on it. Of course if you Google image search 'star car' you're a dozen images deep before you can find the logo with some text next to it telling you what it actually is. One of the links from these images is a thread on Pistonheads, a car forum asking just what the gently caress it is too.

Your car is the ad but if they don't know what it is how are they meant to have a gander? That drat car threw me off for so long. I'd see one, think it was handsome, not know what it was, and forget to look it up. The events repeated for months until I got so frustrated. Nobody I knew was talking about the car. I didn't see or absorb anything from here. The main thing that irked me was the hurt to my pride as a 'car guy' who practiced such games as "name that car from the headlights at night" and "what vehicle did this RV borrow housings from". Also as a point of order they do have a marking low on the door that identifies the model and some poo poo. It looks like a tag on a video game asset in dev mode or something.
