I never get the last word, and it makes me very sad.
I wish I could watch this series for the first time all over again.

It is genuinely the best way I think that any show ends. Credits are usually an afterthought and somewhat subdued; Venture Brothers credits come crashing in hot without warning and you get essentially the final scene of the episode afterwards as a palette cleanser, then it's straight into the next episode. Absolute genius, I love it.

And it has to be stressed that these episodes are brought to us in glorious extra COLOR!

I used to watch a lot of old science fiction shows on the earliest incarnation of the Sci Fi channel. These were shows like Time Tunnel that nobody remembers today unless they're fans of Time Tunnel for some reason. So many of those shows probably only got on the air because they were made in color. Some used the color technique's name (like Technicolor), some made up a new word for the fact that it was in color, but VB brings it home with glorious, extra, color.

The episode-ending format (smash cut to credits, end with a stinger) is amazing and effective, and it doesn't get old. Two of my favorite examples of it (including the action right before the smash cut, the credits, and the stinger) are the season finales to Season 1 and Season 4, both of which could have seriously ended the show.

If you can get through season 3 nothing plot or timeline-wise should bother you.

Maaaybe the stuff with the Sovereign in Gargantua Too.

Edit: Unless you just mean the out-of-order storytelling in Blood of the Father, Heart of Steel, in which case just go by the comic's value from high to low.

My forums account is older than you. Thanks for reminding me that I am old enough to have an adult child if I'd knocked up my college girlfriend. Coincidentally, I remember watching Venture Bros in her dorm room on Sunday nights in 2005.

I'm honestly surprised there's anyone that young on Something Awful. I thought the youngest people here were like 35 at this point.

S4 is imo the best overall season of the show, and the point where the creators finally get comfortable enough with their characters and world to really start rocking the boat and making some status-quo changes. It's also very much The Season of Hank

Imagine watching the live premiere where they accidentally ran the first half twice, everyone trying to figure out if that was the gimmick or if there'd been a technical error.

Dean is entirely realistic as far as teenage boys go. The circumstances in which Hank loses his virginity are certainly questionable enough that he even agreed that having his memory wiped of the experience was the way to go for his mental health. One of those bits where the show is a lot more realistic than anyone might like to admit, really.

Kinda funny that eventually you get Hank getting a girlfriend who cheats on him with Dean... which also makes an odd amount of sense. The two complement one another, and grew to have strength where the other doesn't.

I"m still fuzzy on the transition from Col Venture's Guild (from the orb flashbacks) to the Guild of Buddy Holly/The Big Bopper/Dragoon/Red Mantle. It's obvious there were more power hungry factions in the original old tyme Guild, but how it fractured and reformed as the current GoCI was never explained, I think.

I took it as the original Guild fell apart entirely in those flashbacks we see and Fantomas just used the name when he started his band. How it went from a terrible band to a supervillain organisation isn't explicit but at the same time the whole superhero/supervillain thing feels very similar to rock star culture so it makes sense to me.

2 ton 21 really has the best arc in this series. From a disposable henchman to an incredibly competant #2. I guess I'll spoil this because i don't remember if you've seen this The scene where he is able to fight back against Brock was such a great moment for his character.
