My dudes, there’s problems with Dan Andrews’ pandemic handling sure but that’s just about in the rear view mirror. It’s nearly 2023. For reference, people friendly to the IPA would regularly refer to it as this before the Abbott govt demonstrated to the world what they actually are.

two of the seats were heavily redistributed, one to be barely notionally nationals and one to be notionally labor (and the independent retired in that seat), and the third independent apparently backed a bunch of controversial government decisions in that area including school mergers or something so it was fairly ideal circumstances for them to win seats off the independents
