They're putting the goat closer to residential buildings this year so they can threaten potential arsonists with 'attempted fire-murder' (tr.) prosecution instead of just regular 'reckless fire attitude' (tr.) prosecution.
It's a strange mistake. It's Sweden. Setting things on fire ~~and dancing in the firelight for the glory of the moon! Fire honouring the goat rightly!~~ is ~~a sacred right~~ an unfortunate-but-recuring character flaw around here. It speaks to something, hidden, deep within the soul. Especially when the winter night comes...?
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that is a strange choice since every swede is a potential arsonist. Cultural appreciation for fire and whatnot.
