In my mind, if there is a player or players on SA of a Specialist Game, then its in.

I don't feel great about authoring a post for a game I don't know, so I appreciate the collaboration we are moving towards.

I was being obnoxious, apologies.

I was thinking of Mordheim. Which is probably more popular now than ever before. Id be happy to do a write up for a new OP.

Not really. For a ruleset that is superficially similar to Necromunda OG/NCE, my group found it maddeningly fudgy and inconsistent when we played it back in 2015/2016 or so (before the current version of Necromunda was a thing.)

There has been a GorkaMorka Community Edition project running, but I have to admit I haven't actually read the rules yet.

That said, rules holding up and the game functioning as intended are not the same thing. GoMo absolutely still provides an entertaining sandbox for playing ludicrous Mad Max games with Orks. And the variety and quality of modern GW Ork kits make modelling for GoMo into a very fun project.

Honestly i think they should just make a GorkaMorka expansion to Necromunda. In the rules you either play on Gorka Morka and fight other orks or you play as orks on Necromunda and its sort of an expansion to Ashwastes.

It's time we stop making different settings and calling them different rules systems

In all fairness, GM was about piling as many Orks as possible onto a vehicle and seeing how many fell off when moving / got shot. Rules were not the primary focus of that game. I own Speed Freeks, but haven't really looked at the rules, so I don't know how well it compares to GM (I'm pretty sure SF is only vehicles, and no Boyz running around though.)

GW needs to reboot and merge GM and Dark Future and just make Hot Wheels scale plastic Ork vehicle and weapon kits, similar to Gaslands. It can just be a single big box, and maybe an expansion kit of vehicles, weapons, and crews and it could be fun as hell.

NM was just a rules port from 40K, so it's not that big of a deal. However, I don't want a NM port, because, right now, NM is a loving mess of rules spread over a library of books.

Gorkamorka is still an unbelievably good time to play, so it is well worth giving a shot. You have not enjoyed anything as much as causing a head on collision because neither party is weak enough to swerve out of the way.

Necromunda having vehicle rules is super cool, but something about the original Gorkamorka fun will never be topped.

GorkaMorka is great. If you want to play it, you should. I would however strongly suggest nerfing the heavy shoota. My suggestion is either of the profiles below (or something to this effect):

Short Range 0-12"
Long Range 12-24"
Range modifier S -
Range modifier L -1
Strength 5
Sustained Fire 2
Ammo 4+

Short Range 0-18"
Long Range 18-36"
Range modifier S -
Range modifier L -
Strength 4
Sustained Fire 2
Ammo 4+

RAW the weapon is just way, way too good. The range, rate of fire, and high strength makes it the only sensible big gun by a huge margin, even when accounting for its high cost. The existence of a weapon with all these strengths completely shifts the game balance from a mess of short range combat and makes vehicles in the open at any range vulnerable to getting shredded by heavy shoota fire.

I was into Necromunda when GM came out, so I couldn't convince my high school friends to buy into yet another game. That said, as an adult I'm having a good time kitbashing and painting my KT Kommandos, and the current trunk model is great, so who knows...

There was.

It wasn't in any of the LoTR publications because it wasn't 'technically' a LoTR release. It was totally 'blink and you'll miss it'. I think the entire release range was the box game and like one metal blister of Smaug or something.

e: Oh shits, there were more blister releases than I remember.

I want to give a big fat warning to people getting AoS underworlds, in this case gnarlwood and direchasm, be very careful with pushing the pegs of the figures into the holes, the plastic is much more fragile than you expect and the way the models are cast means that weak points are located either on or around the pegs, I almost accidentally broke one of the legs of the skeleton knights (thank gently caress I noticed the bend starting before it was too late) and let me tell you the neighbors had a great time listening to the shriek I let out.

I think I’ll settle for glue thanks.

The snap together models don't work well, I always just snip pegs and glue traditionally.

Yeah, the tolerances are too tight and don't really work out too well. Like Chainclaw said, just trim them off and fit the pieces together as normal. The peg system is more intended for people who have never put a model together and need the guidance.

Snip the pegs short at an angle. It'll let you fit them in but reduce the friction.

Little Gunpla trick since people tend to assemble them and part-disassemble them again for painting

I already snip pegs from way before, but yes, I can see how the legs of the skellies are quite vulnerable, but they are just so pretty. Can we see yours when you finish? These are mine:
